Located between 12th and 20th Avenues from Division and Demonbreun to Belmont University, Edgehill/Music Row celebrates a rich legacy in tradition, diversity, and creativity. Edgehill can be traced back to the early 1820s as a by product of the Civil War and gained popularity in the late 1920s due to a new streetcar line. In 1954, the first music recording business opened on Music Row. Today, you will find tree-lined streets filled with record labels and recording studios and you may even bump into music execs at one of the fabulous restaurants or shops in Edgehill Village.
While Edgehill encompasses a relatively small area, you can find some wonderful options for housing. Though housing stock is limited, this cool neighborhood does offer streets with charming early-century bungalows, new builds, modern three-story homes and a spattering of high-rise condos as well.
Disguised in tree-lined streets, quiet sidewalks, and sprawling front porches, the recording studios and label offices look so nondescript, you’d hardly even know this neighborhood is teeming with local businesses. If you’re looking to sample some authentic Nashville flavor, Edgehill Village is a community gathering place with a carefully curated selection of restaurants, shops, and businesses.
